SHIPPING POLICY

Thank you for shopping at The African Marketplace. We are committed to delivering our curated authentic African groceries, snacks, cosmetics and food products to you as quickly and securely as possible.

1. Order Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1-3 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has been shipped.

Note on High Demand: During peak seasons or promotions, processing times may be slightly extended. We appreciate your patience as we carefully package your handmade items.

2. Domestic Shipping (Mauritius)

We offer reliable delivery across the island of Mauritius using local couriers and the Mauritius Post.

Free Shipping: We offer free standard domestic shipping on orders over MUR 2,500.

Delivery Confirmation: Domestic deliveries are generally completed within 2 business days once collected by the carrier. 

5. Tracking Your Order

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 24hours for the tracking information to become available. 

6. Damages & Lost Packages

The African Marketplace Co. LTD. is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

  • Insurance: For high-value items, we recommend selecting a shipping method that includes insurance. 

7. Delivery Restrictions

Deliveries  may not be available for shipping due to weather regulations. (incases of cyclone or other weather warnings).
